Holidays During Term-Time

Wherever possible, parents/carers should try to avoid taking children out of school during term-time.

The following information on term-time holidays is taken from the UK Government website:

"Holidays in term time:

You have to get permission from the head teacher if you want to take your child out of school during term time.

You can only do this if:

  • you make an application to the head teacher in advance (as a parent the child normally lives with)
  • there are exceptional circumstances

It’s up to the head teacher how many days your child can be away from school if leave is granted."

If you are planning on taking your child out of school during school term-time you must complete a term-time holiday form at least three weeks before the planned absence.

YOU CAN NOW COMPLETE LEMINGTON RIVERSIDE TERM-TIME ABSENCE REQUEST FORMS ONLINE - CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE THE FORM. (Please note that if you have children at other schools, you must complete the other school's form too).

The form is also available to download below if you prefer, or alternatively you can collect a paper copy on request from the Main School Office.
