Welcome to Lemington Riverside
Welcome to a primary school that dares to be different and celebrates its uniqueness…
We are Lemington Riverside Primary School – an inclusive, vibrant school at the heart of our community, overlooking the beautiful River Tyne. We welcome children from age 3 to 11 and are a one-form-entry school, meaning there is one class in each year group.
Our school is a magnificent Edwardian building, with spacious classrooms, break out spaces, libraries, ICT facilities, a sensory room and an exciting outdoor environment. We also have a community hub on site, providing additional activities, services and support to our children, families and the wider community.

What’s Happening...
On Friday 14th November, our school photographer will be in to take individual and sibling photos of all children at Lemington Riverside.
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ If you have pre-school aged children who do not yet attend Lemington Riverside, you can come to the dinner hall (upper building) between 8:15am and 9:00am for family group photos. (All school-aged family group photos will be taken during the school day).
π§ After 9:00am, all pupils will have their individual photos taken, along with sibling photos for those with brothers or sisters in school.
π· Photo samples will be sent home with children once theyβre ready. Thereβs no obligation to purchase, but if families do choose to order, photos will be returned to school in time for Christmas β perfect for gifts and keepsakes! π

In the lead-up to Remembrance Day, our children have been learning about the importance of remembering and why we wear poppies at this time of year.
ποΈ On the mornings of Thursday 6th, Friday 7th, and Monday 10th November, we will be selling a range of Remembrance-themed items β including snap bands, wristbands, reflectors, and stationery β on the main playground between 8:40am and 9:00am. All items are Β£1 each, and every penny raised will go to the Royal British Legion to support their incredible work.
πΊ On Tuesday 11th November at 11am, our whole school community will gather on the playground to join the nation in two minutes of silence to remember all those who have served and sacrificed.

The exciting learning adventures begin straight away with years 1 and 2 visiting the Children's Book Show at Theatre Royal Newcastle in the morning.
Our year 4 children will be taking part in a drama workshop with Cap-A-Pie in the afternoon too.

Earlier this week we celebrated our Lemington Heroes for the end of the first half of the autumn term. There were so many nominations for so many fantastic reasons.
We also revealed that Mrs. Corr's Year 3 class were our attendance champions for Autumn term 1! A huge well done Year 3!
