Welcome to Lemington Riverside
Welcome to a primary school that dares to be different and celebrates its uniqueness…
We are Lemington Riverside Primary School – an inclusive, vibrant school at the heart of our community, overlooking the beautiful River Tyne. We welcome children from age 3 to 11 and are a one-form-entry school, meaning there is one class in each year group.
Our school is a magnificent Edwardian building, with spacious classrooms, break out spaces, libraries, ICT facilities, a sensory room and an exciting outdoor environment. We also have a community hub on site, providing additional activities, services and support to our children, families and the wider community.

We’re delighted to share our full calendar of Christmas events for December 2025! 🎄
At Lemington Riverside, we want every child to experience the magic of Christmas, and we’re proud to offer a wide range of festive activities for our pupils and families to enjoy throughout the month.
Please take a look at the graphic below for all key dates. We’ll be sharing further details about Christmas concert ticket arrangements very soon.
Our Christmas dinner day is on Thursday 11 December. If your child doesn't normally have a school dinner but would like one on that day, please order via the school office no later than Friday 5 December.
We are also now accepting any of the following for donations for our 'Children's Christmas Raffle' which takes place on the final day of term:
- Sweet treats, selection boxes, etc.
- New toys / games in their original boxes/packaging.
- New children's books.
- Craft activities/colouring books, etc.
Please bring any donations to the school office by Wednesday 16 December. Thank you to those behind the scenes who are also fund-raising for prizes, we really appreciate it. All children will receive one free strip of raffle tickets so that everybody is in with a chance of winning, additional tickets will be able to be purchased for £1 per strip. We'll communicate via the Greenhouse Schools App when additional tickets will be on sale.
We can’t wait to celebrate the festive season with you!

We are looking forward to welcoming parents and carers to our school this afternoon for our #WeAreAmbitious showcase event between 2-3pm.
Due to the nature of the event, children cannot leave early with adults. From 3pm, we will open the dining hall in the top building where parents/carers are more than welcome to wait in a warm and dry space until pick up time if you wish.
Thank you!
