Welcome to Lemington Riverside
Welcome to a primary school that dares to be different and celebrates its uniqueness…
We are Lemington Riverside Primary School – an inclusive, vibrant school at the heart of our community, overlooking the beautiful River Tyne. We welcome children from age 3 to 11 and are a one-form-entry school, meaning there is one class in each year group.
Our school is a magnificent Edwardian building, with spacious classrooms, break out spaces, libraries, ICT facilities, a sensory room and an exciting outdoor environment. We also have a community hub on site, providing additional activities, services and support to our children, families and the wider community.

We are so excited to welcome you into school to celebrate the festive season! The children have been working incredibly hard on their performances, and we can’t wait to show you what they have been up to.
To make sure everything runs smoothly, please read the following logistical arrangements for the upcoming shows.
PERFORMANCE DATES/TIMES:
Nursery & Reception: 'A Christmas Sing-Along'
When: Monday 15th December
Times: 9:30am and 1:30pm
Running Time: Approximately 20 minutes
Details: The children will perform festive songs, and we would love for you to sing along with them!
Years 1 to 6: 'Lemington's Christmas Cracker!'
When: Tuesday 16th December and Wednesday 17th December
Times: 9:30am and 1:30pm
Running Time: Just over 1 hour
Details: Each class will perform their own 'act' which included songs, dance and acting!
REFRESHMENTS:
We invite you to join us for refreshments in the Dining Hall (top building). Items will be available for £1.
Morning Shows: Available before the performance from 9:00am – 9:25am.
Afternoon Shows: Available for 20 minutes after the performance ends.
50/50 PRIZE DRAW:
At every performance, we will be holding a 50/50 prize draw!
Tickets: £1 each (Cash only—please bring correct change if possible!)
The Prize: 50% of the money raised goes to one lucky winner as a cash prize. The other 50% goes directly to school funds.
Why we do it: This fundraising helps us keep all school trips, residential visits, and experiences completely free of charge for our children. The more tickets sold, the bigger the prize pot for you and the more we raise for the school!
TICKETS AND A FEW POLITE ASKS...
Tickets: Please remember to bring your ticket with you, as your allocated seat number is clearly printed on it.
Younger Siblings: If you are bringing babies or younger children, we kindly ask that if they become upset or restless, you take them out of the hall for a moment. This ensures the children performing can be heard clearly and aren't distracted. Due to fire safety rules, we have no space inside the building for push-chairs - if you are bringing a push chair, you are welcome to leave it in the bike shelter next to the caretaker's house.
AFTERNOON DISMISSAL ARRANGEMENTS:
If you are attending an afternoon performance, you are welcome to take your children home early once the show is finished if you would like to.
Collection: Please allow the children to return to class to get changed first. They will be ready for collection approximately 15–20 minutes after the show ends.
Waiting: You are welcome to wait in our dining hall café with a cuppa while the children get changed.
Siblings: We can also dismiss siblings in other year groups who weren’t in the show. Please be patient with us during this time as we must ensure all children are dismissed in a controlled, safe way.
We look forward to seeing you all there for some festive fun! 4 Likes

We had a very special Lemington Heroes assembly this afternoon (Friday 12 December) where we celebrated all of our heroes in school and also presented a cheque for £350 to the Children's Heart Unit Fund (CHUF) following our recent fundraising efforts!
