Welcome to Lemington Riverside
Welcome to a primary school that embraces innovation and takes pride in being truly unique.
At Lemington Riverside Primary School, we are an inclusive and vibrant community at the heart of Lemington, overlooking the beautiful River Tyne. We cater for children aged 3 to 11 and are a one-form-entry school, with one class per year group, allowing us to build strong relationships and a close-knit school environment.
Our home is a striking Edwardian building, featuring bright, spacious classrooms, well-equipped libraries, ICT facilities, and inspiring outdoor spaces. In addition, our on-site community hub provides a wide range of activities, services, and support for pupils, families, and the wider community.
We believe primary education should offer far more than academic achievement alone. While our children leave us with strong outcomes, they also take with them rich experiences and lasting memories. Our unique “Lemington Riverside Experience” offers a diverse programme of cultural, creative, and sporting opportunities.
Our dedicated team of teachers and support staff bring enthusiasm, expertise, and innovation into every classroom. They engage in ongoing professional development and educational research to ensure our curriculum remains ambitious, engaging, and relevant.
We are also proud of our exceptional pastoral care. With access to an in-house counsellor, occupational therapist, and a broad network of specialist support, we ensure every child receives the guidance and care they need to flourish.
At Lemington Riverside, we describe ourselves as “bravely different and proudly unique” — unafraid to think creatively and committed to doing what is best for our children and community.
We warmly welcome prospective families to visit us. If you would like to arrange a tour, please get in touch using the contact details on our website — we would be delighted to meet you.

Good morning from our final day at Ford Castle!
The children have slept really well last night after a jam-packed day of outdoor activities yesterday!
Last night we ended our evening with a silent disco which went down very well! For those who preferred a more chilled evening, we also had a games room with giant bean bags!
This morning we will be getting breakfast before heading out for activities this morning which include:
- Archery tag
- Aeroball
- Rifle shooting
- Obstacle course
- Vertical challenge
We will have lunch at Ford Castle before departing back for school. We are all excited to see you all! The children have been an absolute credit to yourselves and our school and have been complimented for their manners, teamwork and encouragement of friends multiple times by staff here at Ford Castle.
Please collect children at the normal time of 3:30pm from the normal entrance.
Mr. Murphy has LOTS of photos from the various activities to upload to Seesaw but please be patient, I think on the last count there were around 300 to sort through!!
See you all later :)
