Welcome to Lemington Riverside
Welcome to a primary school that embraces innovation and takes pride in being truly unique.
At Lemington Riverside Primary School, we are an inclusive and vibrant community at the heart of Lemington, overlooking the beautiful River Tyne. We cater for children aged 3 to 11 and are a one-form-entry school, with one class per year group, allowing us to build strong relationships and a close-knit school environment.
Our home is a striking Edwardian building, featuring bright, spacious classrooms, well-equipped libraries, ICT facilities, and inspiring outdoor spaces. In addition, our on-site community hub provides a wide range of activities, services, and support for pupils, families, and the wider community.
We believe primary education should offer far more than academic achievement alone. While our children leave us with strong outcomes, they also take with them rich experiences and lasting memories. Our unique “Lemington Riverside Experience” offers a diverse programme of cultural, creative, and sporting opportunities.
Our dedicated team of teachers and support staff bring enthusiasm, expertise, and innovation into every classroom. They engage in ongoing professional development and educational research to ensure our curriculum remains ambitious, engaging, and relevant.
We are also proud of our exceptional pastoral care. With access to an in-house counsellor, occupational therapist, and a broad network of specialist support, we ensure every child receives the guidance and care they need to flourish.
At Lemington Riverside, we describe ourselves as “bravely different and proudly unique” — unafraid to think creatively and committed to doing what is best for our children and community.
We warmly welcome prospective families to visit us. If you would like to arrange a tour, please get in touch using the contact details on our website — we would be delighted to meet you.

What’s Happening...
Over the past few weeks, Year 5 have been working alongside Northumbria University law students, tackling a series of exciting Taskmaster-style challenges in small teams. The two winning teams then went on to represent our school at todayβs regional final.
We are incredibly proud of all the children involved β what brilliant teamwork and effort shown by everyone!

We are also aware that there is an open evening at Studio West for Year 6's who are moving there in September and this clashes with our France meeting. If your child is going to Studio West please still go to the open evening tomorrow as that is really important - Mr. Heeley can meet you straight after school next Tuesday 28 April to go through the France information.
For everybody else, we look forward to seeing you tomorrow evening after school!

Children earn green points in school from positive behaviours such as demonstrating our three rights and responsibilities, being in school on time, remembering PE kit, reading at home etc. When they reach 100 green points they receive their certificate in assembly and the points convert in to 100 Lemington Β£ that can be spent in our shop.
There are lots of great things to choose from in our shop, from small toys up to our premium range which includes football shirts and Dominos Pizza!
