Welcome to Lemington Riverside
We are Lemington Riverside Primary School, a proudly inclusive school at the heart of our community. We educate children from the age of 3 up to 11.
Our school is a magnificent Edwardian building, with spacious classrooms, break out spaces, libraries, ICT facilities and an exciting outdoor environment. We also have a community hub on site, providing additional activities, services and support to our children, families and the wider community.

What’s Happening...
Earlier this year we had a challenge across the school around the value of being 'disciplined' - always doing the right thing.
Children were awarded 'green points' on our TrackItLights system when they were 'caught' being disciplined and making positive choices.
The six highest scoring children in the challenge today enjoyed a wonderful tour of St. James' Park Stadium with Mrs. Heeley!
Well done everybody!

Bob will be stepping down as our Chair of Governors at the end of the summer term after five years on our Governing Body. We would like to place on record our huge thanks to Bob for his hard work, dedication and commitment to our school during his time as Governor. You don't often hear a lot about our Governors, but they have a vital role to play behind the scenes, ensuring the school leadership team deliver the very best educational offer for our school community.
We are pleased to confirm that Bob will be succeeded as our Chair of Governors by Barbara Moorhead from September. Barbara has been a Governor at our school for many years and has been our Vice Chair for the past few years. She is a vastly experienced and skilled Governor who cares deeply about our school and our community. We have no doubt she will be an amazing Chair!
HERE IS BOB'S END OF YEAR MESSAGE TO THE SCHOOL COMMUNITY:
"Dear Parents and Carers,
We have arrived at the end of another wonderful, exciting and eventful year in the life of Lemington Riverside Primary School.
Yet again, many great things have been achieved during the year and the staff have all worked tirelessly to create an amazing and inclusive school all aimed at meeting the needs of every child.
The children have again enjoyed the many learning opportunities, both in school and on the many trips and visits out of school, that have taken place during the year. The trips and visits are invaluable in providing a wide range of experiences and I am sure that these will continue to be a big part of the curriculum in the future. The recent Year 6 trip to France is a great example of the many learning opportunities on offer. These opportunities are invaluable in adding to the learning of all the children involved.
Looking beyond the school itself - Lemington Riverside continues to work with the other like-minded schools in the West End Schools Trust (WEST) in providing many activities which add to the experiences and knowledge of all of the children. This collaboration with the other Trust schools greatly adds to the strength of Lemington Riverside and is constantly developing. Iām sure that this will continue well into the future.
Now that we are at the end of the school year this is the point in the year when we say goodbye to our Year 6 pupils. Planning is in place to ensure a smooth transition to their new schools. I hope that they settle in well and take all of the opportunities that will come their way in the years ahead.
I would like to thank Mr. Heeley and all of the staff at Lemington Riverside Primary School for their incredible dedication and hard work over the last twelve months and hope that they have a well-earned rest over the summer break and so be ready for the challenges ahead.
Finally, just to let you know that this is my final message to you as Chair of Governors as I will be retiring from the Governing Board at the end of the summer term. Your new Chair from September will be Barbara Moorhead. Barbara has been a Governor at Lemington Riverside for many years, and I can assure you that she will bring vast knowledge and experience to the position of Chair. I wish her well.
Very best wishes to you all.
Bob Wilson
