Newcastle United Academy Players Inspire Pupils at Lemington Riverside

We were thrilled to welcome Newcastle United Football Club academy players Mason Miley and Alfie Hutchison to Lemington Riverside Primary School this afternoon as we launched an exciting new collaborative project between our school and our local football club for the season.

Mason and Alfie spoke to the children about NUFC’s core values and how these shape their approach to football and everyday life. They also discussed the importance of good attendance and punctuality, encouraging pupils to demonstrate both the NUFC and Lemington Riverside values in everything they do — on and off the pitch.

The visit marks the beginning of an ongoing partnership that will see pupils taking part in a series of themed challenges throughout the school year. We’re looking forward to kicking things off on Friday with our first challenge, which focuses on the value of being ‘Passionate’.
