Lemington Heroes on St. George's Day - 23 April 2026
Today was St. George's Day, the national day of England and we celebrated our Lemington Heroes across school for the first week back of the term.
We have celebrated our wonderful children who have been nominated for so many different reasons this week, as well as our Track-It-Light award winners, Lexia superstars and reading champions.
Our attendance champions this week were Ms Turner's Year 1 class who achieved a magnificent 100% attendance this week! They were closely followed by Mrs. Jamieson's Year 5 class in 2nd place and Mr. Carter's Year 2 class in 3rd place.
We were also delighted to welcome Helena and Johanne, headteacher and teacher from our international partner school, Boudonville Elementary School in Nancy, France. Helena and Johanne have been learning all about how schools work in England and visiting classes across the school. They have enjoyed visiting Newcastle upon Tyne and have even gone home with a Newcastle United football shirt! Yesterday evening, they enjoyed fish and chips by the coast at Tynemouth - a real English classic!
