Welcome to a primary school that dares to be different and celebrates its uniqueness…
We are Lemington Riverside Primary School – an inclusive, vibrant school at the heart of our community, overlooking the beautiful River Tyne. We welcome children from age 3 to 11 and are a one-form-entry school, meaning there is one class in each year group.
Our school is a magnificent Edwardian building, with spacious classrooms, break out spaces, libraries, ICT facilities, a sensory room and an exciting outdoor environment. We also have a community hub on site, providing additional activities, services and support to our children, families and the wider community.

What’s Happening...
This afternoon we have celebrated our Lemington Heroes for the week ending 14 November 2025.
We also celebrated our amazing fundraising efforts this week where we have raised £277 for the Children's Heart Unit Fund (CHUF). We were delighted to share a video from a local boy called Elijah who plays football with a number of our children at LRPS - Elijah has benefited from the work of CHUF throughout his life and sent a personal message of thanks to the children for their fundraising efforts.

Tomorrow (Wednesday 12 November) is a non-uniform day at school - children can wear their own choice of clothing - we are asking for a £1 voluntary donation with all money raised going directly to the Children's Heart Unit Fund (CHUF). On Friday 14th November, our school photographer will be in to take individual and sibling photos of all children at Lemington Riverside.
If you have pre-school aged children who do not yet attend Lemington Riverside, you can come to the dinner hall (upper building) between 8:15am and 9:00am for family group photos. (All school-aged family group photos will be taken during the school day).
After 9:00am, all pupils will have their individual photos taken, along with sibling photos for those with brothers or sisters in school.
Photo samples will be sent home with children once they’re ready. There’s no obligation to purchase, but if families do choose to order, photos will be returned to school in time for Christmas — perfect for gifts and keepsakes! 5 Likes
