Advertisement for 3 x Teaching Assistants (Level 2 – N3)

Salary per annum: £23,151 - £23,500 per annum pro rata

Actual salary: £16,620 - £16,870 per annum

31.25 hours per week, term time only, plus 3 training days. Initially fixed term until 18th July 2025

Our school is a popular place to attend and we have a large proportion of children with additional SEND needs – we now need three new team members to come and join us on our exciting journey. The successful candidates will truly make a difference to the lives of the children of Lemington. We are looking to appoint 3 Teaching Assistants (Level 2, N3), on, initially, a fixed-term basis from 15th April 2024 until 18th July 2025.

The posts are suitable for teaching assistants with an appropriate level of qualification and a passion to support children with a diverse range of needs across the primary age range. We want people to join our team who believe that a primary school should truly be at the heart of its community and should be an inclusive school for everybody. We are looking for people who want to join a school that is brave and not afraid to do things differently.   

The appointed teaching assistants will be joining a strong, dedicated and supportive team serving a diverse community.

The successful candidates will lead by example, setting high standards for themselves, the school and others. S/he will be confident and skilled at supporting and managing pupils, often with complex needs and a variety of abilities. They must be able to think creatively and problem solve. They will have a positive & resilient outlook and will be excited at the prospect of continued to be a part of our rapidly changing school that is at the heart of our community.

The successful candidate will:

  • work successfully across the primary age range supporting a wide variety of pupils
  • be motivated, committed, resilient and proactive in the face of challenge
  • be organised, highly efficient and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
  • have successful experience of working with pupils with a wide range of additional needs.
  • be able to adapt practices and procedures in order to ensure best outcomes for pupils
  • fully support the vision and ethos of the school

The role is 31.25 hours per week. This will be working the hours of 8:45am – 3:30pm Monday-Friday. There is an opportunity for overtime working in the wrap-around care provision for the school.
