New toilets

Dear parents/carers of children in Years 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6,

I think this is the first time I’ve ever written a newsletter home just about toilets!

We are delighted to confirm that over the next few months, brand new toilet facilities will be built in our main building. This will create much for pleasant toilet facilities for our children.

Tomorrow morning (Friday 14th) a new temporary toilet block will be located in the corner of the playground. This block will become the temporary boy’s toilets until the works are completed. These toilets will be open for the boys to use during break and lunch times. During lesson times, an additional toilet facilities will be made available for the boys in the main building.

Phase 1 of the work (up until Christmas) will see new girl’s toilets built in what are currently the boy’s toilets. The old wooden extension on the playground will be demolished and the new toilets built in what is currently the cloakroom.

Phase 2 of the work (after Christmas until February half term) will see the old girls toilets demolished and a new boy’s toilet constructed in what is currently the girl’s cloakroom.

During the works, a number of areas of the school site will fenced off to keep everybody safe. If you have younger children, please ensure they do not climb on the fences or enter any areas fenced off.

We look forward to this exciting new development and the benefits it will bring to our Lemington Riverside children!
