Dear Parents, Carers and the Lemington community,

Following the Prime Minister's announcement of a national lockdown this evening, Lemington Riverside (as with all other schools in England) will now switch to remote, online learning to the majority of pupils from Tuesday 5th January until Friday 12th February 2021.

WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

Remote learning from home will start again via SeeSaw for children in Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 from Tuesday 5th January. For children in Nursery, remote learning will be via Tapestry.

If you are normally entitled to benefit-related free school meals, we can offer packed lunches to be collected from school on a daily basis between 12pm and 1pm from the School Office. Please email headteacherLRPS@gmail.com or call 0191 267 4315 to place orders.

We will contact families with social workers and those who have children with an Education and Health Care Plan to offer you a place in our provision.

If you are classified as a critical worker and would like your child/ren to attend our provision, please contact us by emailing headteacherLRPS@gmail.com or calling 0191 267 4315 to request a place. You can find out if you are classified as a critical worker by reading the guidance here > https://www.lemingtonriverside.newcastle.sch.uk/.../122299

The Critical Worker Children/Vulnerable Children provision will be open between 8:45am and 3:15pm every day. Children should be dropped off and collected from the Main Playground. Adults dropping off and collecting should wear a face covering (unless medically exempt) and observe social distancing from other people.

If your child has no access to a laptop, PC or tablet, we may be able to offer you the loan of a school laptop until school fully re-opens. To request the loan of a device email headteacherLRPS@gmail.com OR call school on 0191 267 4315.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and support.
