Important Update For all Parents/Carers at Lemington Riverside (Thursday 19th November)

19th November 2020
A member of staff in school has tested positive for Covid-19 today (19/11/2020). We have been in contact with Public Health England who have advised that a number of staff members plus all children in Years 1 (Miss Harland's class), 2 (Ms Turner's class) and 3 (Mrs. Jamieson's class) must self-isolate for 14 days.

The return to school for all children in these classes will be Friday 4th December 2020. Our 'Remote Learning Policy' has been activated and children will be taught via the SeeSaw app (For more information about SeeSaw please click here) by their normal class teachers. Daily tasks will be set and feedback given. If you have any technical issues with SeeSaw or queries regarding the work for your child, please contact your child's teacher using their direct email:

Children in Nursery, Reception, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 are not affected and should continue to attend school as normal. We continue to follow our strict Covid-19 safety protocols. Brothers/sisters of children in Y1/2/3 can continue to attend school as long as nobody in the household develops symptoms. Other household members can continue to go about their daily lives as normal (work, etc.) as long as nobody in the household develops symptoms.

If anybody in your household develops Covid-19 symptoms (persistent cough, high temperature, loss/change of taste/smell) you must inform school as soon as possible on 0191 267 4315 or admin@lemingtonriverside.newcastle.sch.uk

We would ask all parents/carers to carefully read the letters below:
