We are very much looking forward to welcoming back all of our children from Tuesday 8th September 2020.
We have been looking closely at the drop off and pick up arrangements for the start and end of the school day. Following feedback from parents/carers and to ensure we are following guidance the latest Government guidance, these will be the arrangements for the start and end of the day from Tuesday 8th September. If your child is in Nursery or Reception please refer to the information that has been shared by Miss Jeffcock regarding your child's start and finish times.
There will be 30 minute drop off slots for all children in a morning - this will allow children to arrive in a staggered way and will avoid large crowds of people. When children arrive in class, they will be provided with a free breakfast and drink every day. At pick-up time, children can be collected from designated points around the school site.
We hope that these arrangements are more convenient for parents/carers, particularly those who have children in more than one year group and those parents/carers who work.
Please note, the latest Government guidelines advise that children under the age of 12 do not need to socially distance, however, adults should - please ensure you remain 1m+ away from all other adults that are not in your family (including staff) when dropping off and collecting your child. The government guidelines also state that children under the age of 12 do not need to wear face coverings.
Please do not congregate in groups and leave the school site immediately once you have dropped off/collected your child.
No parents/carers are allowed inside the school building, including the main office, until further notice without an appointment. If you need to speak to staff, please do so at the beginning of the day (Mr. Heeley will always be available at the main entrance) or at the end of the day. You can also call us on 0191 267 4315 or email us admin@lemingtonriverside.newcastle.sch.uk.
Any dinner money/letters, etc. should be sent in with your child in a clearly labelled envelope and passed on to the teacher.
