Free School Meal Vouchers (Christmas 2020)

18th November 2020

We are currently working with the City Council to provide vouchers over the Christmas holiday for families whose children are eligible for benefits-related Free School Meals.

In the past, we provided paper vouchers, however, we now need to use a new system and this will no longer be possible and we will need to send vouchers via text message or email. Therefore, to ensure we can send you your vouchers successfully please ensure the school office has your up-to-date contact details, especially if you have recently changed your mobile number or email address. Please update your contact details by either calling the office on 0191 267 4315 or emailing  Vouchers can be sent using both sources to help you receive this funding, but you will only be able to redeem the value once.

Over the next few weeks you will receive a text from the voucher provider asking you to choose which supermarket you would like your vouchers from: Asda, Aldi, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, McColls or Waitrose.

Once you receive this text, please ensure you click on the link provided and identify which supermarket is your preference. This will enable us to identify families who are having some technical issues with this service and work with them during the next few weeks.  The vouchers will then be sent before the holiday period. We don’t yet know the value of the vouchers, but as soon as we do we will let you know.

Kind regards,

Mr. Heeley (Head Teacher)
