An update from Mr. Heeley - 18th January 2021

18th January 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

Firstly, I wanted to say how much we are missing having all of the children here at school.  What has been lovely though is for myself and the other members of staff to be able to see all of their wonderful learning that has been going on at home, and to communicate with the children and parents via Tapestry and Seesaw.  We will continue to develop and improve our offer as we reflect on the feedback from yourselves and the children so please stay in touch.

We continue to provide online learning for all children who are working remotely from home every day. We also continue to provide face-to-face learning in school for children of critical workers, vulnerable children and for those parents who have no alternative child-care.

Our main priority is to keep children, their families, our staff and the whole school community as safe as possible, minimising the risk of transmission of the virus.  We would therefore like to reiterate the request from government, asking parents to keep their children at home if at all possible.

The government requests that Nurseries remain open for families that require a place.  During this period of lockdown, we will continue to provide remote learning for all children from Nursery right up to Year 6, whilst providing childcare in line with government criteria and guidelines.  We do understand, however, that circumstances at home may change so please contact the office if you require a place for your child or wish to discuss this further.

I will keep you updated on any changes as and when the information is made available.  We are informed about guidance and changes from the government at the same time as you are, so I thank you for your patience and support at this challenging time.  Please continue to stay safe and take care.

Take care,

Mr. Heeley (Head Teacher)
